December 11 | Basic principles in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers

This course is designed to train health and social care professionals, as well as formal and informal caregivers, with fundamental knowledge about the prevention, assessment and treatment of pressure ulcers. Through a practical and up-to-date approach, participants will explore the main risk factors, preventive measures and therapeutic strategies, promoting safer, more dignified and effective care.Throughout the training, special attention will be paid to risk assessment scales, the distinction between pressure ulcers and end-of-life ulcers, and the importance of early and multidisciplinary intervention. The aim is to strengthen the quality of care provided, reduce associated complications and contribute to the well-being of people in vulnerable situations.
